Routes 1 and route 11

  • Route 1 provides a link between the Saint-Sacrament neighborhood and the Old Port. It serves the Saint-Roch district, Place Royale, and Musée de la civilisation.
  • Route 11 is a high-frequency, wheelchair-accessible bus that enables you to visit the must-see attractions between Sainte-Foy and the Old Port, including shopping centers, the Plains of Abraham, museums, and Château Frontenac.

Ride the Bus in Old Québec This Summer

This summer, the RTC is introducing a pilot project: the seasonal bus service 402, which serves Old Québec and provides a connection between Lower Town and Upper Town.

This new route will run between Place d’Youville and Gare du Palais, passing along Côte du Palais, Côte de la Fabrique, as well as Jardins, Sainte-Anne, and Pierre-Olivier-Chauveau streets.

  • Service available from June 21 to September 1
  • Runs daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Departures every 30 minutes in each direction

Service Estival 402

Route 400

Available from May 17 to September 21, 2025, Route 400 serves tourist areas and points of interest along the river on the Samuel-De Champlain Promenade.

From Gare du Palais to Sainte-Foy, Route 400 runs in the Petit Champlain district and along Boulevard Champlain in both directions.Service will be available between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays.

Flexibus Champlain Zone

Since 2024, it has been possible to book rides using the Flexibus on-demand transit service in the Champlain zone, which borders the Promenade Samuel-De Champlain. The zone also includes a few corridors that connect to certain commercial hubs in Upper Town. This area is served daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Public Transit Offered with a 2-Night Stay!

To encourage visitors to stay in local accommodations and make it easier to get around Québec City, Destination Québec cité (DQc), in partnership with the Québec City Region Hotel Association (AHRQ), will offer free public transit this summer to visitors who stay a minimum of 2 nights in an accommodation within the Québec City tourist region.
